Some staff are very comfortable with known processes and step-by-step manuals. In order to move to the more advanced use of a tool like Intota, it is important to understand the larger concepts and to develop skills and interest in problem-solving. There is no manual! How do we get people there? We will share some ideas and will invite thoughts from participants

2) Overview of how Intota can Meet the Needs of your Library Now

The day-to-day management of e-resources is often chaotic; many libraries are short staffed or dealing with staff turnover and lackadaisical record keeping. Intota v.1 can alleviate this stress by ending siloed job duties and providing a previously unachievable atmosphere of transparency. This session will demonstrate how to cross train your staff and operate by the “hit by bus” mentality: if you, as the supervisor of your unit, were hit by a bus tomorrow, would your co-workers know how to manage your e-resources?
